Breakfast:
This year Breakfast for Learning will look a little different. We still give students the opportunity to have something to eat for breakfast when they arrive at school if they have not eaten at home. However, we no longer have breakfast set up in the foyer at the beginning of the day, if your child needs breakfast they will ask their teacher once the has rung and a snack will be provided. This year each classroom will have a bin of food that the children can access at any time while in the classroom.
New this year:
Milk provides important amounts of protein, and is a main source of calcium and vitamin D. Elgin Street Public School will be beginning a milk program. The milk will be delivered to each class one day a week. Students will receive 2% white milk and it will be paid for by nutrition for learning.
