School Council
School Council meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month, starting at 6:30 PM. We will be hosting meetings in person in the school library and virtually on Google Meet.
The Role of School Council
- an advisory body to the school and to the Board
- focus on strategies and activities which support student learning, achievement and well-being
- bring a community perspective and support to school planning and the attainment of educational goals, and a shared responsibility and accountability for student learning and opportunities for success
The Make-Up of School Council
- 1 chair or co-chairs (parent member(s))
- 1 secretary
- 1 treasurer (works with Mrs. Betts in the office)
- Parent members (must make up the majority of the membership)
- Staff representatives
- School Principal and Vice Principal
