Welcome back everyone! We hope you enjoyed a wonderful holiday season. As we welcome the new year, we welcome a new staff member: Mrs. Mistry is our new Child and Youth Care Worker (CYW). Mrs. Livingstone, the CYW at Elgin for many years, decided to retire. We will miss her and wish her well in retirement!

Winter has arrived; are you ready? With the cold weather upon us, please ensure that your child has warm clothing for outside play: winter jacket and boots, toque and scarf, mittens or gloves and snow pants. Being warm helps everyone enjoy playing outside.

Speaking of clothing, did you know that Elgin’s Eco Club is having a clothing drive? During the month of January, we are collecting used clothing and toys. The clothes will go to the bags2school foundation, and the toys will be donated to a local organization. For each ton of clothes we gather, we earn $200 which will be put towards green initiatives at school and to help pay for the new junior creative area. Thanks for helping!
