Many of you will now be aware that there has been some significant police activity in the Elgin Street school area throughout the day.

 

In collaboration with Waterloo Regional Police Service, schools in the area went into a “hold and secure” as directed.  This meant that our doors were kept locked and our students kept indoors for a period of time.  Please be advised that these were precautionary measures only and at no time were the students in imminent danger.

 

At 11:55 am we received notification from the Waterloo Regional Police Service that the situation had been resolved and the “hold and secure” was lifted.
